Description

This very low mile 2004  Honda VTR1000F Super Hawk was purchased by the seller in 2007. Power is from a 996cc V-twin paired with a six-speed transmission, and the bike is finished in black with gold accents. Equipment includes half side fairings, a two-up seat, triple disc brakes, and fully adjustable front and rear suspension, This VTR1000F comes with  original tool kit, a Factory Service manual, Owners Manual and a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name and two keys.
This all original, non modified 2004 model is in the Special Edition Black and Gold livery and incorporates the upgraded instrument package that came after 2001 models. These bikes incorporate an all aluminum frame design that separates the swingarm pivot from the main spars.  It also has standard, aluminum rear passenger foot pegs, a factory clear non tinted windscreen, and fairing-mounted mirrors.
Gold 17″ rims are mounted with 120/70 front and 180/55 rear ZR-rated DUNLOP SPORTSMAX Q3+ tires that have less than 200 miles on them and a 2017 date code. Suspension consists of a 41mm H.M.A.S. cartridge-type fork as well as a H.M.A.S. PRO-LINK gas charged monoshock mounted to the double-sided aluminum swingarm. It is adjustable for preload and rebound. Braking is from dual 296mm discs up front with 4 piston Nissin calipers, and a single 220mm version in the rear. A DOT 4 brake fluid change was performed this spring.
Instrumentation includes an analog 180-mph speedometer, analog tachometer with a 9,500-rpm redline,  digital cluster with coolant temperature gauge, dual trip meters, clock and a digital odometer showing 3.2k miles,. Standard clip-on handlebars are mounted above the top triple clamp.
This very low mile, 90 degree, DOHC  V-twin liquid-cooled 996cc V-twin produces 110 horsepower and 71 lb-ft of torque and weighs in at 426 lbs dry.    It has always been adult owned, and is 100% stock and never been down. Always stored indoors in a thermostatically controlled garage. It does come with an extra set of Factory OEM stock mufflers, while the fitted stock pipes have had the rear plate removed for enhanced performance and an inspiring throaty rumble.  Jetting is stock. The only flaws are a small cut in the seat as depicted in the photographs, and a smaller than dime sized opaque mark on the lower L part of windscreen.  Rims are unblemished, paint is all original.

Service this Spring included coolant, clutch & brake fluid flush, and high zinc (zdd) Mobil One 15-50 synthetic engine oil  & filter change.
This is an inspiring motorcycle to ride, but frankly more than this aging rider can handle as I approach 70 years old.  You will be hard pressed to find a better preserved and maintained Superhawk.
