Description
Half Dollars designed by Charles Barber were struck by the U.S. Mint in San Francisco for use in the Kingdom of Hawaii in 1883. This is an example of the 1883 Hawaiian Half Dollar which has been graded MS62 by NGC and is in an older style NGC "fatty" holder which is slightly thicker than the current style of holders. Both sides of the coin are deeply toned, but the coin does retain excellent original mint luster beneath that deep toning. The details of the intricate design are strong and the piece has excellent overall eye appeal. A wonderful uncirculated example of the Hawaiian Quarter Dollar, also called the Hapalua. Please note that I offer FREE SHIPPING on all of my auctions via USPS tracked mail.
